Christmas time!!

Jacob and Anna were very good this year. Santa brought a lot and they played with their new toys ALL day long! Anna carried her Vera Bradley purse all day. She put lipstick and nailpolish on Mommy, Daddy, Jacob, Lacy, dolls, action figures, etc. She has turned into quite a girly girl. They both styled Anna and Mommy's hair for hours, so so funny(hair spray, straightener, hair dryer, curling iron), loved it! Jacob loved everything he got. Before bed he said mom, I really love my scooter, and camera, and Joker, and dragon, and socks, and flashlight, and named every single thing he got. Jacob really got into Christmas this year and was so excited. We miss family on Christmas but it sure is nice to stay home in our PJs and watch the kids play all day. We have somehow started a tradition of sick kids on Christmas, we're hoping to change that next year. Other then being sick I would say we had the perfect Christmas!

On the way there he told me that him and his friend Griffen sing the loudest. I said you really like Griffen don't you. He said Yes mom, he's my best friend......and you mommy :)

He was being honest, his teacher told me that they were counting on Jacob and Griffen to sing for the 3 year old group. They delivered!

There are some songs with just the 3 year olds and some with the 3 and 4 year olds. It was all so cute. Jacob did a GREAT job!













It's hard to decide. Look cool with my hands in my pockets or do the motions to the song?!?!?!! Maybe a little bit of both!

Church Choir Christmas performance

Jacob's first choir performance at church. A couple videos of him practicing (first one) and performaning in front of a full church. He of course is in the red and navy striped vest. He did great!!




After changing into his shepard costume. I think this was a bit much for him, it's hard to perform when you are having a wardrobe malfunction. In this video you can see the angel behind him reaching for his hat. Right after I stopped videoing she flipped his hat over his head. Hilarious (June is one of his best buddies)!!!!

Hugs

When Jacob and Anna give hugs (to eachother or someone else) a lot of times they will pat them on the back which I think is so sweet. Anna got a little carried away :)
On a side note, Jacob has been wearing socks on his hands lately. All day, whenever he is home. He thinks it's the coolest thing that socks on your hands are like gloves.

This is what happens when you are in the middle of packing and leave the room with two toddlers. I was folding clothes in my room and the kids were in Anna's room being VERY quiet. Not only is everything that was neatly folded in the bag out, half of what is now on the floor wasn't even coming with us. Mixed up, unfolded ...........guess I'll start over.

At the end when I asked Jacob who was going to the beach with us, he said Ashton (Coleman) which is hilarious. We've been talking about Ashton, Cody and Caleb as our new friends we'll see at the beach. He has no idea who Ashton is but has been talking about him all week, so funny.

3 year old Jacob

Jacob had his 3 year old doctor appointment today. He did great. Got weighed on the real scale, measured standing up and had his blood pressure taken. Such a big boy. He was so excited to go and looked so old sitting up there with his undies on instead of a diaper. They had to prick his finger and get some blood. He tried so hard not to get upset; his lip started quivering when the nurse squeezed his finger to get blood out. When she left he said "Ouch, she hurt me". He weighs 34lbs and is 36inches tall. He is perfectly healthy and as usual put on a show and made friends with everyone in there. Our little social bug.

He has been hitting the baseball a lot (the pitcher has an important job in this game because you have to hit the bat with the ball rather than him hit the ball with the bat). He calls it soccer and when he hits the ball he says "touchdown". He apparently is a little confused :)

Father's Day weekend 2009

We had a fun filled Father's Day weekend.

Friday night we went to church for the last night of Vacation Bible School which was Family Fun Night. The kids loved dancing to music, jumping in the blow ups and going down the water slide as well as eating and seeing friends.

Saturday Jacob went to a Birthday party for one of his best buddies June and then we were off to the River for the day. We fished, Jacob and daddy went on a boat ride (where the boat broke down and had to be towed in by the jetski) and we swam all day. We fried fish, grilled shrimp and ate all day. It was a great day with friends and the kids!

Sunday we missed church because Jacob had a tummy ache (assuming from drinking river water while he was swimming). Once he was feeling better we went to the Botanical gardens with the kids in the wagon and then out to lunch. Jacob said "Happy Mother's Day Daddy" about 1 million times which is hilarious every time. At lunch he ordered pizza. When we were done the lady took his pizza to put it in a to go box. He said "what are you doing?" to the waitress when she picked it up and then asked us where his pizza was going. He was a little concerned it was going to be thrown away. A great weekend with Daddy as well as good friends!!

Jacob likes to do a fake laugh and a fake cry now. Here is his fake laugh, such a goofball!

Anna's walking all the time now, it's very rare that she crawls anymore. The Sanders kids were sporting their shades all day on this day. Yes, Jacob's are purple with polkadots. They are really Anna's but I couldn't find his so those became his for the day. Notice Jacob's two different socks, he loves to pick out his clothes. Yay for Anna and her walking!!! At the end Jacob realized Anna was getting most of the camera time so he started to perform :).

This is Anna's Birthday party with our playgroup. Watch out, might get dizzy. I wanted to get Anna as well as Jacob and his buddies singing. Anna's friends were there too but they were sitting with their mommies. Such a fun party with great friends, Anna loves being around other kids (isn't her excitement obvious in this video:)) and of course Jacob always enjoys a good party. Our sweet girl is one!!

This is the morning of Anna's 1st Birthday. She apparently was excited about the big day because she didn't sleep at all the night before (anticipation:)). Since she didn't sleep well she slept in later than usual. Jacob on the other hand woke up at the crack of dawn wanting to sing Anna Happy Birthday and give her the present he picked out for her. He asked me a million times when Anna was going to get up for her Birthday. Jacob and I (Daddy's out of town) went in her room and flipped the lights on to film the Birthday girl. Jacob got in her crib and started singing away. Anna just wanted to get out of bed but big brother didn't let that interfere with his performance!!

Jacob loves to sing and play guitar, piano, drums or anything that makes noise really. He spends hours singing ABC's, twinkle twinkle little star and the itsy bitsy spider. This is him singing his BayBC's. It's so short because it's impossible to get him to stay in one place. Sorry it's sideways.

JoJo and Skippy gave Jacob this easter card that plays music. The chicken dance song is Jacob's favorite and he has played it a million times. I thought this was funny because Anna starts dancing out of nowhere and then as soon as the music stops it's right back to the toys as if she never did it.

Jacob was giving Anna eskimo kisses and she would crack up everytime he got close. It went on for about 5 minutes and was absolutely hilarious
